Although I was not successful in my hard-fought race to become Des Moines’ first elected Municipal Court Judge, I couldn’t be more proud of the campaign we ran and the many people who devoted time, money, and effort to help. I personally had the privilege of crisscrossing the city for six months, talking with voters on their doorsteps and listening to their concerns. Dozens of people stepped up and volunteered to work at community events with me, post signs, walk in parades, doorbell, raise money, and do the many other things a campaign requires. Thank you to each and every person who worked so hard. I am also proud of the fact that we ran an honest campaign and that everyone on our team conducted themselves with integrity. We should expect nothing less in a judicial campaign.
I will continue to be a dedicated member of the greater Des Moines community and hope to continue those friendships I have made along the campaign trail.
